We are working on this (aggregated by zip code and towns). For now, the “popular tags” on the home page can give you a pretty good idea :)

BOC is quickly turning into a phone book for professional chef's and caterers. is that the intent?

I thought it would be cool to find someone who grew up with a particular cuisine trade dinners with me. As I'm perusing the site all I find are chef's and caterers - I can look them up in any phone book.

Book of Cooks great at Uni

I think that book of cooks would do extremely well on my university campus. A lot of us live within high proximity and we all have to eat. I would like to talk about promoting this as I feel it would spread like wildfire on other Canadian university campuses. One problem though: I don't use mac mail and your contact page doesn't let me e-mail otherwise. So what's your marketing e-mail?

Lame accounts clogging the works

Delete the cooks that post themselves without any kind of description after 7 days.

Thank you very much for submitting this. We will be coming up with a solution to this problem in the next few weeks. We’ve got a series of tweaks to the site’s UI in the making. Users will be able to preview which profiles have or haven’t been fleshed out, instead of having to turn over several rocks :=)

Hummm…..not sure we can help with this one. But that’s a great question—I’ve always wondered that too :=).
Conveniently add the feedback tab on ALL pages so that it is easier to report issues.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for submitting this. I ran some tests and it seems to be working ok. Please try typing “Alexandria VA” or “Alexandria Virginia”. Don’t stop at “Alexandria” because there are just too many -that’s why it may not be appearing on the list.
To your second question, I believe I was able to find you by searching Alexandria, Virginia? Try this: http://www.bookofcooks.com/find_user/location/Alexandria,%20Virginia,%20US/sortby/name/2/

I've used two different browsers (chrome and firefox). I am able to add a picture and when I want to add more, it just moves me to the top of the page
